Business Facebook Page

Today I put the finishing touches on my newly created Facebook business profile. Here I can display all my skills and assets that would be desired by a potential employer or coworker. I want to keep up with the trend of marketing via social media. Because we live in a global marketplace due to the internet's role in business, being able to market oneself and demonstrate knowledge of online communication skills is an ability that employers demand.

I hope that many of my peers view this page to learn more about me. I will send this out to many potential employers in hopes of attaining work that fits my desires. It seems the act of physically sending out resumes is going out the way of snail mail.

Hello and welcome!

My name is Gregory Glenn, I am 21 years old and a third year student attending University of Alberta. I am currently working towards a degree in Food and Agricultural Business Management. My interest in production and resources economics has continued to grow since my completion of high school. These concepts and policies are immeasurably important now that North America and the International Community are facing widespread economic recession and environmental issues such as global warming. My studies teach me how positive economic policies are formed as well as how I can promote environmental sustainability practices in a business setting.

This blog will connect myself and visitors with other researchers, science journalists, and persons/articles of interest! Good communication is absolutely necessary in present day in order to succeed in the business world. Which is true for both employers and employees. Because of technology such as nano-second transactions, which has been made easily available to any potential entrepreneur, the marketplace has become much more competitive. Trends of online shopping, online advertising, online socializing and basically everything online will continue to rise and become even more prominent in everyday human life. This is why becoming familiar with online communication is such an asset for anyone involved in the work world. I will use my knowledge of online communication to market my skills, and make business and social opportunities for myself.

The World Wide Web is a wonderful thing, it enables anyone who desires to access an almost infinite amount of information on just about anything. I hope that web logs such as this will make access to some of that interesting information easier!
